Information on 2,3 & 4 year funding , 30 hours and Tax Free Childcare
All 3 and 4 year olds in England are entitled to 15 hours of free early education, each week for 38 weeks of the year. Here at Farmyard Friends this funding can be, if you wish, stretched over 51 weeks of the year and hours can be used within a variety of session times.
You choose how you wish to use this early education funding and where you would like to use it. Hours can be shared and used between settings. For example you could choose to access 2 x 3 hour session at your local school nursery and use the remaining 9 hours at your child's day nursery and pre school. Many parents do not realise that this is an option.
You can start claiming this funding the term after your child's 3rd birthday. The date you can claim will depend on when their birthday falls.

1st January and 31st March | The beginning of the term on or after 1st April |
Your 2 year old may be entitled to 15 hours of two year old early education funding, for 38 weeks of the year, if you meet certain criteria set by the government. You can start claiming this funding the term after your child's 2nd birthday, again the date depends on when your child's birthday falls. Please use the table above for clarification.
Farmyard Friends is registered to accept Tax Free Childcare payments. This is an online payment account which parent's use solely to pay their childcare costs. For every £8 that families pay in, the government will make a top up payment of £2. Further information can be found at childcarechoices.gov.uk
Farmyard Friends are offering the 30 Hours Extended Funded entitlement. To qualify for this both parents or a lone parent must be working over 16 hours per week and earning under £100,000 each.
